About

Kishore Anand

I am not a professional artist, nor do I paint with the ambition of becoming one. Painting simply happens to be one of the few things in life that makes me feel completely connected to myself.

Biography

Let's create
something enduring

Life is busy. There is work to do, responsibilities to carry, and always something demanding attention. Finding time to sit down with a canvas is not always easy. Sometimes weeks or months pass between paintings. Yet, whenever I return to it, something feels familiar as though I have stepped back into a part of myself that was quietly waiting.

For me, painting is not about perfection, recognition, or making a living from art. It is not even about producing something that needs to be seen by others. The act itself is what matters. The colours, the brush, the texture, the silence, and the concentration of being completely absorbed in something for a while.

In those moments, the noise of everyday life becomes distant. I am not thinking about what I should be doing, what I have accomplished, or what comes next. I am simply looking, feeling, and painting.

Perhaps that is why I hold painting so close to my heart. It is less a pursuit and more a place I return to—a quiet space where I can escape reality for a little while and, paradoxically, feel more like myself.
